"Y is for Yorick whose head was knocked in."

Alas. I knew him well.

A toast in memory of Zillah.

Are there any Edward Gorey related boxes out there yet, a toastrack,
a handcar, perhaps the statue of Corrupted Endeavor, or even a
doubtful character that looks like a cross between a penguin and an
anteater and likes to peel the soles off his white canvas shoes?

Miss Katherine of 100**100 uses The Doubtful Guest image as her
personal stamp.

Capital idea!

A Gorey Tribute Box or Series would be fabulous. Especially
given that the "wood-cuttish" nature of his illustrations seem to
lend themselves to be depicted in stamp-form rather easily. (Of
course one would have to be a *Master-Carver*)

I've got a first-edition Dracula Toy Theater from the early 80's that
I picked up ..... ummmm ..... many years ago. (Yeeesh, I'm old)

Check it out here,:

and tell me you wouldn't LOVE to go hunting for a stamp based
on some of these illustrations.

Bwahahahaha,

I use the The Doubtful Guest image as our "family group" stamp. I
hope I run into her sometime.

What is 100**100?

I second that! There are actually commercially made rubber stamps of Gorey
art. They are few and hard to come by, but I have seen them. It would be
interesting though to see if anyone out there is masterful enough to carve
one by hand. Alas, I am not that talented.

They are really cool. I have had Doubtful, which I've had for many
year. That's our family/group stamp. Now I want a couple of
Draculas and a bat.
